ABOUT THE ARTIST
Inspired by the world around her, Emmy nominated Amanda Rye is a versatile make up artist, with an eye for creative details.
As a self driven artist, Amanda has been a keen student of the community and everything it has to offer. Prop building, sewing, sculpting, mould making and casting prosthetics have entered her skill set through years of taking every opportunity she could. Being a versatile artist has given her the ability to work as a Professional Make Up Artist / SPFX Animal Make Up Artist with Calgary's IATSE 212 Film & Stage Union.

Amanda has been doing Horse make up on CBC's Heartland for numerous seasons. That led to an opportunity painting a horse for a Game of Thrones episode in 2017 and making a Zombie horse with a full mane of hair extensions, for Cult Film Legend Danny Trejo on Dead Again in Tombstone!
